Why made to order lasts longer
A piece made for one person is built for one set of habits. Straps sit where your shoulder is. Pockets go where you reach. Stress points get reinforced because we know what you'll carry.
Because nothing is made ahead, you also choose things a shop can't offer: the exact hide, the colour of the thread, the weight of the hardware. We keep your pattern, so the same piece can be made again years later.
What we'll ask you
A short list of measurements and preferences replaces the guesswork of buying off the rack.
- Dimensions
- Height, width and depth for bags and cases, or body measurements for jackets and belts.
- What it carries
- A laptop, a camera, documents, tools. We size and reinforce around the contents.
- Leather and weight
- Firm and structured or soft and slouchy. We'll send swatches if you want to feel the difference.
- Colour and finish
- Classic browns and blacks or something unusual, with matte, polished or waxed finishes.
- Hardware
- Buckles, zips, rings and clasps in the metal finish you prefer.
- Personal touches
- Initials, a name, a date or a logo, inside or out.
Questions people ask
What's the difference between made to order and custom?
They overlap. Made to order means the piece is produced after you order it, to your measurements. Custom covers design changes and personalisation. Most orders are both.
What if the measurements are wrong?
We confirm the dimensions with you before cutting and will tell you if something looks off. If a fit issue comes from our work, we'll make it right.
Can you make a jacket to my body measurements?
Yes. We'll send a measuring guide and confirm the fit details with you before we begin.
Do you keep my pattern?
Yes, so you can reorder the same piece, or a variation of it, later.
Is there a minimum order?
No. Made to order is built for single pieces.
